Turriff Academy is working alongside LGBT Youth Scotland to achieve their Bronze Chartership Award.

LGBT Youth Scotland are Scotland’s national charity for LGBTQ+ young people, aged 13-25. They support young people in all aspects of their lives through the provision of amazing youth work, they support young people to use their voice to create change in equality and human rights.

Turriff Academy is actively progressing towards the Bronze Award which means we aim to proactively include LGBTQ+ people in every aspect of our work, protecting staff and providing high quality service to our learners.

Being accredited with our LGBT Charter for Education enables us to send a positive message, with confidence, that our school is a champion of LGBTQ+ inclusion where LGBTQ+ staff, parents and learners will be safe, supported and included.

If you would like to discuss any aspects of our chartership journey you can contact Mrs Barraclough or Miss Pirie.
